Eastern Diesel & Auto Wrecker Service in Bonifay Florida History

Eastern Diesel & Auto Wrecker Service Inc.

Eastern Diesel is a family owned business that has been around for over 22 years. Chuck and Liddie moved to Florida in 1990. Chuck began working at a very young age still in grade school for a dairy. Chuck is an Air Force Veteran of four years where he learned and gained experience as a generator mechanic in Alaska and helping with the SR71 mission support team. Chuck also worked hard to achieve his private pilot license during his time in the service.  Prior to living in Florida Chuck had 11 years of experience as a field service mechanic where he rapidly excelled and took a management role at Cummins in Rialto, California. He also worked at Associated Diesel in California for about 5 years.  He then helped build a towing business for one year in California that became very successful as well.  He also has four years of college.  Liddie and Chuck bought the business location on highway 90 soon after moving to Florida, where Chuck started working on semi vehicles and other large scale vehicles. Liddie did the administration and handled all the duties required to keep the business going.  The name was Eastern Diesel and Auto Repair when it was first started on Hwy 90.  Then Chuck and Liddie decided in the year of 1998 to start a towing business at the location 2005 S. Waukesha St. near the interstate and started renting out the other location.  The new company name then became Eastern Diesel & Auto Wrecker Service Inc.  The business is located within a wonderful community known as Bonifay, Florida.  They grew pretty quickly into a much larger business that it is today.  Kimbra Roberts one of their two youngest twin daughters is now managing the office. Kimbra Roberts holds a bachelors in Aviation management and a minor in safety and a Master’s degree in Aeronautical science and safety.  She also has her private pilots license and worked at a couple of airports in the area. They have wonderful and caring employees that currently help to support the business by being available to work any time of the day or night 7 days a week.  The business would also not be possible without the wonderful community and the customers that choose them as their towing company.

  1. Since I moved back to Bonifay in 1987, I liked dealing with the locals! Bowen Hardware, Jerkins (before they closed)as well as Evans Dept store! Eastern Diesel following others created a local staple! Towing! I can't count the number of times I have had to call them over the years, but know if you need anything, they will be THERE! Supporting local businesses is the way to MAKE America Great again! Supporting local businesses are OUR responsibility! Just do it!
May God continue to Bless you and your family as he has blessed me with you!

  2. Kimbra this is lewis. We went to Bethlehem together. I'm sorry to bother you but I've had some hard luck lately and it's true when it rains it pours. Could you call me at my dad's number 8503264003 please. I had to move my business from the cottondale shop I was trying to buy. Back to my dad's house almost over night. During the move I had my 2006 Honda Ridgeline towed by your company. It has almost every tool and piece of hardware I own not counting all the paperwork that proves who I am and what I own in it. Then while driving my girlfriend's truck I find out the hard way that my licence are suspended. They towed the 04 Ford f150 also that has her stuff and mine in it. I can't work without my tools and you guys got the trailer also. I can't get to work without the truck. I have been put in a position where I'm at your mercy that I could loose everything I've worked so hard for. I have spent every dime in this move. Rock bottom down to the wire. I'll have 1300 on the third of March or I could get tools from mine and have money sooner.i still have a 4 wheeler and a mo ped to fix for customers. Please help. Please let's work out some kind of solution. It's very serious you have the power to make or break us with your mercy. Thank you
